Saturday, April 11

2nd Annual Enviropalooza! IslandWood Takes Out the Trash*
12:00-4:00pm, at IslandWood, 4450 Blakely Ave. NE

An afternoon of family fun that focuses on taking out the trash – learn how to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Scheduled events include a presentation on the JUNKraft Project; musical performance by Seattle-based performing artist Benjamin Doerr; The Trash Critter Zoo; and the Enviro-Fair with exhibits from Puget Sound environmental organizations. Film: "Where Do the Children Play?"

Bainbridge Island Land Annual Native Trust Plant Sale
9:00am-1:00pm, at Eagle Harbor Congregational Church

Join this Earth Day tradition – come early for the best selection of beautiful “day of sale” native trees, shrubs, ground covers and more!  The nursery-grade plants help attract wildlife, reduce room for invasive plants, and help native plants thrive on Bainbridge Island.  This is the day to pick up orders, if pre-ordered.  Proceeds support the Land Trust. Celebrate Mother Earth

Educate, revegetate, agitate, eradicate weeds, and reinvigorate a natural and sustainable Bainbridge Island! Free t-shirts to the most enthusiastic weeders! Service hours for students (8 maximum). This weed removal (mostly ivy) event is co-sponsored by the Association of Bainbridge Communities, Weed Warriors, the Watershed Council, the BI Japanese American Community, The BI High School Honor Society, the BI High Earth Service Corps, the Interfaith Council, the BI Parks Department, Friends of Pritchard Park, Sustainable Bainbridge, IslandWood, and Ron’s Walking Groups. Grace Episcopal Church Earth Service and "Car-less" Sunday

April 8 - Several schools will be at Blakely and Rotary Park on Wed April 8 where the 4th graders are pulling weeds to raise money for their outdoor education program.

April 10 – Woodward Middle School Litter Pick-up, an important annual tradition for many years, sponsored by Bainbridge Disposal.
