Alternatives to Gas Guzzlers

Speakers include experts, sellers and users of electric cars, biodiesels, hybrids and fuel-efficient conventional cars. They will tell their stories and explain what your choices are, now and in the near future. You can help the earth by using less fossil fuels and creating less global warming pollution. Speakers include:

  • What New and Used Alternatives to Gas Guzzlers Are Available: Greg Rock, The Green Car Company (of Kirkland, WA)
  • How I Recharge My Electric Car with My Rooftop Solar Panels: Jeremy Smithson, Puget Sound Solar (installer of many rooftop solar panels on Bainbridge homes)
  • How I Turn Fast Food Waste into BioDiesel Fuel on Bainbridge: Stu Stranahan, Olympic BioFuels (a new startup on Bainbridge)

Come early to see two electric cars and talk with their owners. Also, see the new movie "Who Killed the Electric Car", at the Lynwood Theater. Tentative dates: Fri. Sept. 22 through Thurs. Sept 28. On Sunday evening, Sept. 24th, see the movie at 5:30pm and then join others to discuss it at the Tree House Cafe, next door.
